On August 3, our club attended the SoCal Sneaker Bash, a charity event hosted by the W. Ray Johnson nonprofit. The event, which benefits Golden West College, helps the nonprofit’s mission to provide students with scholarships, internships, and special community-based projects. Our members laced up in fun sneakers, participated in a silent auction and raffle, and danced to a live DJ.
The Huntington Beach Rotary is partnering with the W. Ray Johnson nonprofit to provide a $2,000 matching grant to students in need at Ocean View High School’s Business Academy. We’re excited about this partnership and the chance to give back to students in our community!
