Our August lunch meeting was filled with inspiration, updates, and well-deserved recognition!
Waymakers Youth Shelter Update
We were honored to welcome Nancy Galeana, who shared the latest on the incredible work being done at the Waymakers Youth Shelter. Nancy reminded us how vital this resource is for young people in crisis, providing safety, support, and a path toward brighter futures.
RYLA Student Reflections
We also heard from two outstanding students who attended this year’s Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) camp. Their heartfelt reflections showed us just how impactful the RYLA exp
erience is—building confidence, leadership skills, and lifelong friendships. It was inspiring to see how Rotary’s programs continue to shape the next generation of leaders.
Celebrating Christina Curnyn
A special highlight of the day was honoring long-time Rotarian Christina Curnyn, who was recognized with a Rotary International Foundation Award. Christina’s dedication and service exemplify the true spirit of Rotary, and we are so proud to celebrate this milestone with her.
It was truly a meeting that captured what Rotary is all about—service, leadership, and community.
