At our most recent October Rotary Club of Huntington Beach meeting, we had the pleasure of hearing from Becky Firey, Executive Director of the American Red Cross of Orange County. Becky shared how the Red Cross continues to play a vital role in supporting our OC communities — from disaster response and preparedness training to blood drives, home-fire safety campaigns, and emergency support for families in crisis.
The Red Cross mission — to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors — deeply resonates with Rotary’s own commitment to “Service Above Self.”
We’re proud to include the American Red Cross of Orange County as part of our “Partners in Purpose” series, highlighting organizations whose compassion and action make a lasting difference for those in need.
