Linda Lewis from the Second Harvest Food Bank paid our club a visit to give us an update on their plight to feed the hungry. The Second Harvest is a member of Feeding America. Over 267k individuals are food insecure in OC, including over 64k children. This wonderful and hard-working organization provide food to most via 300 partners and almost 400 distribution sites -school and college pantries, senior hunger programs, kids’ cafés, etc. They have been in the OC for 41 years!
The Rotary Club of Huntington Beach is excited to volunteer their time as a group later this spring at either one of their local Harvest Solutions Farm, Founders Farm or in their Distribution Center.
