Huntington Beach Rotarian Leslie Dinkel shared an inspiring update on the incredible impact of Rotary Global Grants in the Guatemalan Highlands. Through partnerships with Rotary and Local Hope/Xela AID, these projects are transforming lives through healthcare, education, nutrition, clean water, and now living-wage employment opportunities. One of the most exciting updates is the newly approved “Thrive at Home” initiative https://guatemalathrive.org, which aims to create sustainable living-wage jobs to help keep families together and reduce poverty in the region. Leslie also shared the remarkable results of the “Health for All” grant, which expanded healthcare access from 19 to 62 villages and increased annual patients served from 2,500 to over 9,300! This is Rotary in action — creating hope, dignity, opportunity, and healthier futures for thousands of families.
