At our recent noon meeting, we had the honor of learning about SWEL (Surf Waves Enjoy Life)—an extraordinary nonprofit that brings healing, hope, and stoke to those who serve our communities and our country. Through free surf missions, SWEL provides unforgettable ocean experiences for uniformed heroes, first responders, active-duty military, and veterans from across the nation.
What makes SWEL so powerful is not just the waves—it’s the connection. Each surf mission creates a space where stress melts away, barriers disappear, and courage is celebrated in a whole new way. For many participants, it’s their first time surfing. For others, it’s a return to joy they didn’t know they needed.
We were privileged to hear how SWEL uses the ocean as a tool for healing, resilience, and community—one wave, one ride, and one life at a time. We’re grateful to shine a spotlight on this incredible organization and the impact they are making every single day.
